Colour: very concentrated ruby red with garnet hues.
Bouquet: intense, ample, persistent with notes of dried fruit, jam, spices and delicate toasted caramel.
Taste: full-bodied, warm and balanced, with tannins that are well balanced by the softness.

Winemaking

Among the vineyards located in Contrada Feudo in Ortona (CH), the grapes are selected during the ripening period. During harvesting, the grapes are left to dry slightly directly in the crates. Fermentation takes place in steel and aging in Tonneaux for at least 24 months.

Type of soil: clay, with a slope of 7%.
Exposure to the sun: South.
Age of vineyards: planted in 1973 (“unique” vine of extraordinary characteristics, now also used for reproductions);
Vines per hectare: 1,600.
Type of farm: tent.
Yield per hectare: 90 quintals.
Harvesting method and period: hand-picked in the second half of October.
