Winemaking

Process: Long maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Total malolactic fermentation.
Aging: After racking, the wine is aged in French oak barriques.

Area: Tollo (CH).
Altitude: 190-250 m above sea level.
Type of soil: medium dough slightly calcareous, and sandy, shallow with good presence of skeleton.
Sun exposure: South, Southeast.
Age of vineyards: from 21 years.
Vines per hectare: 1,600.
Type of farming: pergola abruzzese (100%).
Yield per hectare: 90 quintals.
Harvesting method and period: hand-picked in the second week of October.
